Honouring Organisations Championing LGBTQ+ Rights
LGBT History Month is more than just a commemoration—it’s a vital opportunity to reflect on the struggles, triumphs, and ongoing journeys of the LGBTQ+ community. In a climate where minority rights, particularly those of our trans brothers and sisters, face renewed challenges and attacks, taking time to celebrate this month is not only necessary, but urgent. We must remember how far we’ve come, acknowledge the obstacles that remain, and stand together in solidarity.
Throughout history, countless organisations have worked tirelessly to improve the lives of LGBTQ+ individuals. Their advocacy, support, and education efforts have transformed societies, challenged prejudice, and provided safe spaces for those who need them most. From grassroots community groups to national charities, these organisations play an indispensable role in pushing for equality, fostering acceptance, and offering hope when it’s needed most.
This LGBT History Month, the Paul Cottingham Trust is offering our heartfelt thanks to all the organisations—past and present—that continue the fight for justice and dignity. We are deeply grateful to be able to support these vital groups, whose dedication ensures that every person, regardless of who they love or how they identify, can live authentically and safely.
We recognize the invaluable contributions of these organisations and are proud to stand alongside them in their mission.
Now, more than ever, their work deserves our recognition, gratitude, and unwavering support.
